S.A.L.T.S. Day 1

After an early start to our day, we had a great flight to Victoria and were soon embarking on our amazing adventure. Once all of the safety lessons and orientation to the Pacific Grace were completed, we set sail out of the inner harbour. We had a delicious lunch of chicken caesar wraps and spent the afternoon sailing through a mix of some windy areas and some almost still waters. We had our first lesson learning 6 knots used on the boat. Lots of climbing the shrouds and the whiskers has begun. We even spotted whales while eating dinner! It has a been great day and we are looking forward to anchoring for the night at Tumbo Island. Everyone is doing well and adjusting to our new home on the seas.
