SALTS 2023 - Day 4
We awoke to sunshine and blue skies. It was gorgeous and got warmer as the day went on. After breakfast we did a review of the sailing lessons and then wrote the Jr Sailor’s test on the deck. As we left Deep Cove, we picked up our prawn traps and had caught 182 prawns. Later that afternoon we enjoyed a delicious prawn feast (butter, garlic, ginger root, steak spice and paprika)…so yummy! We enjoyed a peaceful afternoon as we cruised the east coast of Vancouver Island heading to Cadboro Bay where we dropped anchor for the night. Shortly before we arrived at Cadboro Bay, we stopped to jump in the ocean…brrrr, but so refreshing. Although it was a gorgeous sunny day, there was very little wind so we could not set the sails. We are ready for an evening of devotions, games and mug up. Everyone is continuing to do well.
