Grade 6 Edmonton Trip 2025 - Day 1

What an awesome first day of our annual Grade 6 Edmonton field trip!The bus ride up was fantastic - there were students reading, visiting , and even playing a few rounds of Uno Flip and Chess! Once we passed Red Deer, the roads were at times slippery but we had two wonderful and careful bus drivers who took fantastic care of us. They slowed down to what they felt was the safest speed and got us to Edmonton safe and sound. Since our commute took us a little bit longer than planned, we decided to skip our time at Queen Elizabeth Park and eat on the bus instead before heading right to the waterslides at West Edmonton Mall for some extra sliding and swimming. This was the right choice because everyone had so much fun! There were HUGE smiles all around. Then, we enjoyed dinner at the mall, followed by some time to explore with our small groups.

After checking into our hotel, Pastor Tim lead us through a thoughtful devotion and reminded us of Scripture’s directive to be joyful always. Now, we’re tucked in our rooms, enjoying each other’s company and some downtime because tomorrow is another big day - we’re going to the Legislature!
